There is so much more than just yelling "Timber!" when you cut down a tree. Safety must always come first. We take the time to protect your property, the freestanding structures located there and ourselves. For example, when needed, BAM can employ time-tested roping methods to take each section to the ground individually, ensuring minimal impact on the environment and eliminating damage to any building or fences in close proximity. What's more, our rubber tracking equipment and overall attention to detail ensures your lawn and surrounding areas are not marred or damaged in any way.

When Do You Need To Cut Down A Tree?
According to the United State Department of Agriculture (USDA), there are certain signs of dangerous tree conditions that cannot be ignored and require immediate attention:

  • Dead Wood: If a tree has a dead top or dead limbs, it must be taken down immediately because it poses a significant risk. Dead trees and branches are unpredictable and can break and fall at any time. Dead wood is often dry and brittle and cannot bend in the wind like a living tree or branch. Dead branches and treetops that are already broken off are often called "widow makers" and are especially dangerous!
  • Cracks: When a tree begins to crack, it is a sure sign that something is wrong and the tree will soon die and fall. The USDA reports that cracks that extend deeply into the tree are "extremely dangerous" and require immediate attention.
  • Cankers: A canker is a localized area on the stem or branch of a tree, where the bark is sunken or missing. Cankers are caused by wounding or disease. The presence of a canker increases the chance of the stem breaking near the canker. A tree with a canker that encompasses close to half of the tree's circumference may be hazardous even if exposed wood appears sound.
